Here at Formula M, we like things like wife-beater T-shirts, gold chains and
of course, fast cars.
One of our favorite fast cars is the Bugatti Veyron. Why, my cousin Vern even
touched one three times at the 2008 Festival of Speed! Here is a
short video
showing how the Veyron's air brake works.
Vern got the first comment! That boy
is quick on the draw.
We were going to call Bugatti and order an air brake for our LeMons car and then we got to thinkin, why not just build our own? Might give us a better chance of winning that "Dangerous Banned Technology" trophy (which would look good next to my 1995 Bowl-A-Palooza trophy on the shelf behind the couch).
My stepson found an electric scooter in the trash down the street a few
months ago and brought it home just like I told him.
When I wasn't payin attention, he stripped it down to the chassis, hotwired
the motor and rode it until the batteries ran down. Then he cut the battery
wires and tried to charge the batteries directly from the wall socket. Don't
worry, he's okay but he has since lost interest in the scooter.
It brings a tear to my eye to see my kids taking after
their daddy (or at least their momma's sixth husband).
In any case, I got out the old angle grinder and cut the scooter in half today.
That's quality entertainment here in Texas. Here's the before shot:

And finally, here is our working
prototype (click to play):
